OUTREACH MINISTRIES — Help, training and support for the community:
1- After-School Tutorial Ministry Strives to enhance proficient educational skills in the basic discipline for children and youth. Works toward safe-haven tutoring sessions during school breaks and holidays.
2– Food Bank Ministry Distributes to the hungry on the third Thursday of each month, serving an average of 60 families per month.
3- Helping Everyone Locate Professional Services (HELPS) Helps find trusted plumbers, carpenters, etc.
4– Older Adult Ministry
5– Pelican House
6– Personal Touch Ministry Provides caretaker services for senior citizens who are no longer able to perform certain daily living tasks. Caretakers assist by shopping, doing household chores, picking up medications from the pharmacy, reading to the senior, or simply being there keeping company.
7– Salkehatchie Program

COMMITTEES
Evangelism Encourages others to know God. A multi-faceted outreach initiative. Also sponsors Revival and Holy Week.
Mission Spreads the good works of the church through community service activities, such as worship service for nursing home residents, and assisting needy families.
Soup Kitchen Feeds 50-75 persons every third Monday at the Outreach Center, and approximately 100 during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Staff/Pastor Parish Relations
Stewardship Encourages development and use of the talents and resources God has given us to support His church, follow His will and spread His word.
We Care-We Share Caring for, sharing and praying with, and cheering up sick and shut-in members. |
